I felt that training on the 13th July was an really interesting one. It was the first time that the whole secondary 1 squad could wear the issued full uniform altogether ! It made us look cool and my friends told me that friends and I looked very cute! But we did not really did a good job on performing our commands that our seniors had taught us tirelessly and I think that we must do better so as to not let our seniors down.
After the muster parade, we split up into small groups of four or fives and practiced a new drill command called " keblakan po seng " if this is how it's spelled and it was quite hard as it required to turn around 180 degrees and we had to follow the timing intently. My friend, Tommy also had a few issues but he soon got the hang of it.
Next, we had our P.T aka physical training. We did push ups, stretches, sit ups and many others so as to keep our body fit and also to train the boys for National Service. I think physical training is very important because if we are not fit, we will not be able to take part in the activities that is planned for us.
I will not regret joining NPCC and I do not intend to quit because NPCC is really fun and exciting like " dog and bone " it's really fun and I hope to play that game more often but the things like the most is the command before the training was over. We had to shout " NP! " at the end. I don know why it always gets to me but I do really enjoy it !

Unit Training 29 June 2012
On 29 June 2012 ( Friday ) , we had unit training as usual. The secondary ones including me were learning how to polish our boots correctly. I think that it's quite boring as we were sitting in the classroom polishing our boots all day long. Although its boring, but the arrangement is quite good to me I think. As we only need to sit down and polish our boots. And not every training we get to do this. Now I've learnt how to polish my boots correctly and make it shinier.

We did the same things as the secondary one. Only that before polishing our boots, the drill com team trained our drills. We are preparing for the next day (30 June 2012, Saturday) competition which is held at Pasir Ris Crest secondary School. We trained our drills very hard and hoping to get into the top 3. The drill team consist of secondary twos and threes. It's my first time participating in this competition. After training around two-three hours of drills, we prepared our full uniform for tomorrow's competition. We checked each others uniform ensure that the badges were place correctly at the correct place. And we ensure that the uniform is in a tip top condition. We helped each other to adjust the badges if its not properly placed. After checking our uniform, we polish our boots. We wanted our boots to be very shiny. We polished our boots as shiny as possible. Even the CIs polish their boots together with us. Its quite like a bonding time to me. After polishing our boots, its debrief.
