I think that the camp for me is a bit stressful and tired because i have to take care of the sec 1's ,but the camp is also fun as it have games. The wet activities was the best part of the camp. We get to play water bomb and one more game that requires poncho. The objective of it was to bond with teammates and communicate. During the camp, we are suppose to take care of our flag. Every group have a flag. And the secondary 2 group leaders is suppose to design a flag and that represents their group. And my group name was Venus. For me, my group flag was like a cadet/friend to me. Everybody in my group must take care of the flag and protect it to prevent CL's and sirs/ma'am from snatching our flag away. Although my group's flag was stolen many times, and even got torn, but i learnt to appreciate everyone beside me more. As the flag is like a friend to me. My group, Venus, was very quiet but a few was noisy. As each group mostly is sec 1's and the group only have at most 2 secondary 2 cadets. So, we have a hard time communicating. But we manage to bond with each other. During dinner time, some members from my group helped me cook the noodles. Another best part of the camp was the campfire. That is the time where we can really bond together. Each group is suppose to come out with a group cheer. And after our group cheer, the other groups cheer for us ! We even have dragon boating together together as a unit ! I really enjoyed it. At the end of camp i learn to be more responsible, learn how to work with other people.

This annual camp is fun. And this is the first time I'm experiencing how is it like in a NPCC camp. I learnt to communicate with my group
members. We also have teamwork. Although there were tough times, but we as a group endured. This makes our bonding stronger. Out of all, I enjoyed the dragon boating the most , because we learnt how to have teamwork. Such as rowing the boat together as a team. Without everybody's effort, the boat won't have moved. I enjoyed the campfire, because we sing as a squad and play as a squad. I hope every year's camp will be very fun.

I like the camp a lot. And this is the first time I'm experiencing how NPCC camp looks like. I got to know more friends, CLs and CIs . They are really friendly. Although sometimes there are ups and downs during the camp. But I persevered through, together as a group. I enjoyed the Campfire alot because it was really fun and I enjoyed it. And we have the Confidence night walk even though it is not scary. I learnt to be more initiative by volunteering to answer question asked.

Determination Above All;
NPCC DAY , 25 MAY 2012 @ SERANGOON GARDEN SECONDARY SCHOOL
OUR SGS NPCC FAMILY !
For NPCC Day on 25 May 2012, I was chosen to be the parade commander. At first, I was very nervous and was not confident enough to take up this role as a parade commander. During the first training for the parade, I did a really bad job. And the commands given were not clear and sharp enough and I need to improve them. At that point of time, I felt like giving up. But my squadmates and teachers encourage me not to give up and to persevere on . So, I started practicing on my commands. My squadmates and I went down to NPCC room everyday to practice on shouting the commands. My squadmates taught me some techniques to pronounce the commands and to memorise them. At the same time, I felt really happy that my squadmates did not give up on me and I do not wish to let them down too. Soon, the day arrived. It was 25 May 2012, when our school, Serangoon Garden Secondary School, commemorate NPCC Day. All in my mind was to do our best today as we had trained really hard for this day. During our march-past, the school applause for us. At this moment, I felt really proud being a NPCC cadet. Everyone praised me that i had done a great job at giving the commands too! From this parade, I had learnt alot.
Do not give up easily, persevere on, and you will succeed .
