Every friday, I am excited to go for NPCC training. On 22/02/08, I went the training. I and some others secondary one pupils went down to the NPCC room together, and to put our bags. We viewed the muster parade. That day parade is all about giving the secondary twos and threes the ranks. After the parade, we are seprated into two groups. Our squad learn some basic commands such as 'Sedi A' (stand at attention), 'ke kanan lurus' (right dress), 'Pandang kehadapan Pandang'(eyes front) and lastly 'Sanang Diri' (stand at ease). We pratised these basic drill for about one hour or even more. Valarie was the timer so she shouted the timing for us so we can cooperation together and do the drill as 1. I think that learning the basic drills are very easy and important. We need this knowledge for many stuff in NPCC. At the end of the day, Mr Peh asked me to demostate the command to show the seniors, I don't dare to do it myself, so I asked Valarie and Ivan to accompany me. It was nervous to face the seniors as they have more experience than us. If we do wrong, we might be a joke to them. I am looking forward to my next NPCC traning.

Determination Above All;
This coming Tuesday, 5th February 2008, our secondary 3 NPCC cadets will be heading Home Team Academy for their first ever classification shoot. This year, there are some changes to the scoring and the type of weapon use. Instead of the usual 90 points maximum, 12 rounds at 9m and 6 rounds at 12m, the criterior is a bit more difficult. This year, cadets are to fire 8 rounds at 9m and 8 rounds at 12m and the max points is 80. With the new revolver manufactured by Smith & Wesson, the hand gun is lighter than the previous one and the weapon has 8 cylinders compared to the previous 6. Let hope that we could achieved at least 16 marksmanship out of our 18 cadets. Cheers! OC Mr Peh
